Alteo has invested in a new terminal in Fos-sur-Mer to secure the supply of alumina hydrate for its Gardanne plant – L’Usine Nouvelle

After five years of twists and turns since its acquisition by the UMSI Group, specialty alumina manufacturer Alteo has decided to partner with port infrastructure operator HES International to launch a new alumina hydrate terminal in Fos-sur-Mer, which was inaugurated on June 22. A rail link to the Gardanne plant is expected to be completed by 2027.
